About me

For as long as I can remember, I have enjoyed being creative, designing and making my own clothes as a teenager, throwing together fancy dress outfits for our children and making soft furnishings for our beautiful home.

After many enjoyable years of travelling the world as a cabin crew Purser with Britsh Airways I decoded to spread my wings in a new direction, with the beginning of Mariposa Furnishings.

While searching for stylish bedding for our home, I struggled to find anything that was either wide and long enough to cover the bed, or was backed with a cheap lining.

As a result, I have created an elegant collection of handmade bed throws, runners and bedspreads, in a stunning range of contemporary fabrics, or in your own fabric choice  

I am passionate about creating window dressings made to the highest professional standard, that will add texture, warmth and style to any room.

All my curtain headings are handmade. I ecourage my customers to incude interlining and blackout lining in their window dressings, as this definitely gives a more expensive and lush look, while keeping the cold and light mornings at bay.
